City Centre Construction Continues

Construction on City Centre continues, and crews will soon be installing the first intersection. As a result of this work there will be some lane restrictions on 84th Street for a couple weeks.

Barmettler Drive will be a right in/right out for northbound 84th Street. Crews paved the interior portion of this street this summer and now will be making the connection to 84th Street.

Another aspect of this project will be to connect Barmettler Drive to the north to allow for access to Chili’s.

Beginning Wednesday, October 3, northbound 84th Street will be restricted to one lane for approximately two weeks. The lane restriction will be in the northbound lanes from Brentwood Drive near First National Bank and McDonald’s to the existing Summer Drive.

This new intersection will be named in honor of the City's former longtime city attorney Joe Barmettler, who passed away a few years ago.
